If you find yourself in or around Nampa, Idaho, and enjoy doing geeky types of activities, you are in luck. Here are the top five places to visit (in no particular order):
Spacebar Arcade
If you like classic arcade games, great beer and a fun atmosphere, the Spacebar Arcade is the place for you. Located near the state capitol building, they have more than 30 arcade games to choose from, and plenty of beer — both on tap and in bottles.
What’s more, the place is open late at night, and you can rent the entire place for a special event. They can even provide you with rolls of quarters for your event.
Wahooz Family Fun Zone
If you have children and are looking for fun for the entire family, look no further than the Wahooz Family Fun Zone. On their 8-acre lot they have 17 different attractions, both indoors and out. These attractions include miniature golf, bumper cars, go-karts, laser tag, and lots of amusement rides. They also have a 80-game arcade — where you can win prizes — as well as 24 lanes of Pinz bowling and a restaurant.
They are also available for birthday parties, and, best of all, they have no admission fee.
VR1 Arcade
If you are a virtual reality fan, you will love the VR1 Arcade. This is a place where you get to become part of the action. There are more than 100 virtual worlds there to explore, with lots of mind-blowing visuals. This modern arcade is also just the place to go if you want to play and exercise at the same time, and it is family friendly.
They further offer a free tutorial, and you can book them for special events.
Warhawk Air Museum
If you like classic war planes, the Warhawk Air Museum is a place you should visit. Their amazing permanent collection — which is one of the largest in the country — includes Mustangs, Warhawks, Kittyhawks, MIGs and classic helicopters. They also have plenty of airplanes on loan, and do not forget to visit their Veterans History Project.
Please keep in mind that the museum is closed on Mondays.
Discovery Center of Idaho
If you are looking for something a little different to do with your family, you should check out the Discovery Center of Idaho. An on-hands science center, it has around 150 different exhibits in which you and your family can explore and interact. Their goal is to make science and technology and math fun for everyone, especially for young people.
They also offer group rates, for parties of 10 and more.
Computer Repair Nampa
